Pvt Frederick Wainwright 45848 11th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment. He was killed in action on 22nd March 1918 following the German attack in the spring of 1918. Aged 35. He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, Panel 5 in the Faubourg-d'Amiens Cemetery, Arras, France. The son of Alfred and Margaret Wainwright of Wellington Street, Barnsley. He married Fanny Hollinshead daughter of colliery deputy Joseph Hollinshead of Grimethorpe. They had 3 children; Mabel, Alfred and Kenneth.
