24th June 1925
On midsummer's day, 1925, the Duchess of York unveiled the recently restored Five Sisters Window, as a memorial to the women of the British Empire who lost their lives during the First World War. The names of the 1400 women commemorated are inscribed on oak screens on the north side of the St Nicholas's Chapel, including 17 members of the Scottish Women's Hospitals. Mary's name is one of them. The Scotsman, 25 June 1925
