[Red Cross evidence form completed by A.B. Pratt, Captain and Adjutant, 1st Worcestershire Regiment] In which circumstances did the Witness see the disappeared for the last time? I was present with Maj Cartland in the "Support Line" between PONTAVERT and BERRY-AU-BAC when he was killed by shell fire Was he killed outright? And by whom was he buried? Killed outright. He was not buried when I last saw him. Can the witness state the names of other witnesses? Cpl Stokes, Headquarters Orderly 1/Worcestershire Rgt [dated 3rd August 1918]
