Lives of the First World War

On the 8th November 1916,William embarked from Sydney, Australia on route to England on board the H.M.A.T S.S. Port Nicholson (a photo of which is included on the profile page). He wrote his Will on this trip, giving everything to his Father in Dyke, Morayshire, Scotland in the event of his death. His ship arrived in Devonport, England on the 10 January 1917 and he would have disembarked by the 13th January 1917. The ship was sunk two days later near to Dunkirk, France on the 15th January 1917.
