Liverpool Echo, "Lieut. Philip Dawson"

Lieut. Philip Dawson, Royal Engineers, whose death in action is reported, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dawson, Walton Park, Liverpool. He was 32 years of age, and prior to joining the forces was employed in the architectural department of Lever Bros., Port Sunlight. He had previously been wounded by shrapnel, and on recovering returned to the front, and had been in the recent heavy fighting. He leaves a widow and two children, his wife being the daughter of Mr. James Rowley, a well-known Liverpool journalist.
