Aberdeen Weekly Journal - Friday 22 November 1918 - Died.- Flight-Cadet James Copland Sim, who died on Tuesday at the Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar, was the only son of Mrs Sim, Boat of Fiddich, Craigellachie, and of the late George Sim, contractor, Johannesberg, South Africa. Cadet Sim entered the Cadet school a year ago, and, having successfully passed his air trials in France, became attached to the Royal Naval Corps in August, and was pursuing his studies. He was a young lad of great promise, and was an apprentice with Messrs M'Kinnan and Co., engineers, Spring Garden. His grandfather is Inspector James Copland, Craigellachie.
