Shot Down By The Red Baron

17th March 1917

In researching my family tree, a distant cousin of my wife gave me information on the Boultbee branch and he mentioned that Arthur Elsdale Boultbee (my wife's 5th cousin 3 times removed) was shot down by Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, i.e. The Red Baron. Arthur was born in December 1897 and was killed on the 17th March 1917 at Oppy, France. According to the wikipedia web site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Victories_of_Baron_von_Richthofen), Arthur was the 27th person to be shot down by The Red Baron.
