9th September 1917

Patrick Comiskey was born in Dublin in 1899. At the outbreak of WW1 he enlisted in the British Army even though he was underage. He was returned to his mother twice!. On the third attempt he enlisted as Patrick Keegan, his mother's maiden surname. He died in Ginchy, France, on 9th September 1917 and is commemorated at the Thiepval Memorial.
