DEATH OF LIEUTENANT R. STIRLING. In Thursday's casualty list appeared the death of Lieut. R. Stirling, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. He was the oldest son of T. W. Stirling Muiravonside, Linlithgow, and Kilowna, British Columbia, and grandson of Mrs Stirling, Dean's Court, St Andrews. He joined his regiment in India, and returned with it to this country in the autumn, crossing to France in December. He was educated at Loretto, and spent many of his holidays at St Andrews, where special sorrow will be felt at the early death of this most promising young officer.
