When he died his wife was living in Notting Hill, his Regiment had no personal effects to send on, and she was awarded a pension of 13s 9d a week. His wife remarried becoming Mrs Bell and received his British War and Victory medals on the 29th November 1921 he would also have been entitled to the 1914-15 Star, Memorial Scroll and Plaque. Thomas’s brother Robert also served in the war and was killed in action on 13th July 1917, see his details later. The brothers are on the Norton War Memorial under their middle names of Cyril and Oscar.
