Lives of the First World War

Thomas and Ernest Richardson were from the same family in Hartley Wintney who joined up on the same day and the same battalion. (They were either brothers or uncle and nephew, there is some confusion in records). Both went to Gallipoli where Thomas was killed. Ernest survived Gallipoli and went to Ypres where he was killed a year later almost on the anniversary of Thomas' death.
