Lives of the First World War

Granville and his mother Elizabeth, brother's Harry, John and sister Eunice departed England for Fremantle, Western Australia 20 July 1912. His elder brother James Ellis having already arrived at King George Sound, Albany, Western Australia with his wife Gertrude in 1911. It appears Granville's father, Jacob did not arrive in Australia until c.Jan 1921.Brother Frank Worthington stayed on in England and served in WW1 with the British forces. James, possibly as an officer. James Ellis ,Granville and Harry all served with the Australian Imperial Forces.Private 1443 James Worthington and Private Harry 2852 Worthingtron survived WW1 and re-enlisted in WW2.They farmed in the Kojonup district, Western Australia.
