An official intimation has been received by Mr & Mrs William Garside of 36 Langham Street, Waterloo that their son Private John Garside of the South Liverpool Regiment was killed in action on February 25th in Mesopotamia. Private Garside was 36 years of age, and prior to enlisting about two years ago he worked as a partner minder at Messrs Reyners (1912) Ltd. He had been in the Dardanelles, where he suffered from frost bite and dysentery
