Week ending 2nd August 1918 ALL HOPE ABANDONED DESBOROUGH MISSING CRICKETER REPORTED KILLED Private F. Crick, of the Queen’s Royal West Surreys, and of Desborough, was reported missing on November 18th, 1916. He is now reported to have been killed in France on that date. Pte. F. Crick was in the Desborough Town Cricket Team, and was employed by the Boot and Shoe Company. He was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs P. Crick, 18, Gladstone Street, Desborough.
