A Barnsley 'KOYLI'S' Death

known 26th January 1918

At the age of 20 years the death in action has taken place of Pte. Irving Lindley, K.O.Y.L.I, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lindley, of 58, Agnes Road, Barnsley. Before the war, the deceased worked at Barrow Colliery and his last home furlough was in March of last year. Chaplain H. Claude Harland, in a letter of sympathy to the bereaved parents says that on the day the deceased went up the line he attended a wonderful service which was held in a loft.
