John Cherrison - Army history

John Cherrison - Army history

John initially joined the East Kent Regiment (The Buffs) in 1892 at the age of 18 and served for 10 years before applying for a discharge in 1902. It is highly probable he was kept on the Reserves list. At the outbreak of WW1 he re-enlisted into the 'The Buffs' (may well have been called up) but died from wounds in the Ypres area on 13th April 1915.
