Eastern Evening News Friday 8th November 1918 WATTON News has been received by Mrs Adcock that her husband, Sergt. Thomas Edward Adcock (24) died from wounds on October 11th. The only son of the late Mr WJ Adcock and Mrs Adcock of Watton, Sergt. Adcock was educated at Swafham Grammar School and Paston Grammar School, North Walsham. He entered the service of Messrs. Barclay & Co., bankers at Yarmouth at 16 years of age, where he continued until the outbreak of war. He went through the Gallipoli campaign, also serving subsequently in Egypt and the Palestine campaign as far as Jerusalem. Later he went to the Western front. He married Miss Watson of Gorleston.
