No. 266065, Sergeant, 1/6th Seaforths ; born at Rose Newton Cottage, Alves, 14th November, 1888 ; joined at Elgin, 9th January, 1915 ; served in India and France ; killed in France, 22nd March, 1918 ; awarded Indian North- West Frontier Medal, 1908. Son of James McRae, Lower Inchberry, Orton. Occupation - Farm Servant.
