Pte. Ernest Smith of the 6th Buffs, is the youngest son of Mr. & Mrs. Smith Hibernia Street, Ramsgate. He is officially notified by the War Office to have been missing from his regiment since September 28th. Two of the young soldiers brothers are serving in the forces and one was engaged in the naval action off Hartlepool last year.
