Private Little was the son of Mr & Mrs J Little, 53 Upper Aughton Rd, Birkdale, late of Formby. He had been in France about 16 months up to the time of his death. A letter from his officer stated that Private Little was with a friend, Pte Barnes, who was wounded, and stayed with him until he had seen him onto a stretcher. Soon after he was sniped through the head.
