Mr and Mrs G Seal of 5 Hartwood Road, have received the sad news of the death from wounds received in action, of their third son , Corporal Herbert L Seal of the King's Liverpool Regiment. Corporal Seal was wounded in the neck, chest and both thighs ( the left thigh being broken) by a shell Tuesday morning week ( June 25th), and died in a casualty clearing station the same evening. Corporal Seal, who was well known and highly respected in the district about his home, joined the Forces in October 1914, and was drafted to France at the beginning of this year. He was only 24 years of age. There are three other sons of Mr and Mrs Seal now serving, two being in France , and one in training in this country.
