Like a distressing number of men captured at the fall of Kut el Amara 29/4/16 he has no grave and anyone who witnessed his death also died. CWGC and SDGW both say 30/11/18. But this looks odd and on checking with Soldiers Effects (there are three entries), his date of death is specified as being between29/4/16 and 30/11/16. That is a typically date range for many men who died on the way to Turkey or at one of the work camps. It is probable that CWGC and SDGW have mistranscribed 1916 as 1918. I have assumed Soldiers Effects is correct.
