Lives of the First World War

James brother's, Thomas Patrick McElmeel, Sgt. 20 Battalion Manchester Regiment, 25924, and John McElmeel, Labour Corps, 390226 both fought in the Great War. Only John survived the war being discharged as medically unfit in 17 Jan 1918 having suffered a shell wound to the head which penetrated the brain.
