Lives of the First World War

There is a memorial cross in the churchyard at St Mary's Church, Watton. The inscription on it reads "Sacred to the memory of Sergt Thomas Edward Adcock Killed in Action in France Oct.11th 1918 Aged 24 years." The surrounding text appears to read "Kings Own Royal Regiment 1st Norfolk Yeomanry". Thomas is also commemorated on the Watton War Memorial.
