Additional: These papers confirm that Sgt Gregory had served in the RFA before reenlisting in Mar 1915. Before the end of his previous service he had transferred to the Mounted Military Police and in the interim had served as a policeman at Shirley Police Station. There appears to me to be an error in the transcription. I cannot find any reference to the Machine Gun Corps and this may be an error reading MMP. Papers conform he was born in Yateley in 1884 and give his wife an names of two children.
