Title: George Mullin

Description: From Collections Canada: Sgt. George Mullin was photographed wearing the ribbon for the Victoria Cross and 1 wound stripe on his sleeve. On the 30th of October, 1917 at Passchendaele, Belgium, he single-handedly captured a German pillbox that was holding up the advance. He was recognized with the award of the Victoria Cross for this deed. For his earlier actions during the Battle of Vimy Ridge he had been awarded the Military Medal.
