Patrick J Conway HMS SouthamptonThis is a 1920 image of my Great Uncle, Pat Conway J45545, who as a 17 year old messenger aboard HMS Southampton on 31/5/16 was severely wounded. When he left the Royal Navy in 1919, he became a merchant seaman, eventually emigrating to the USA in the 1920's, Where he lived the rest of his life in Hillsborough county, Florida, until his death in 13/01/1981.
