CWGC record of Archie's demiseThis is an scanned image of the extract from CWGC Index no MR.39 MERCANTILE MARINE MEM PART IV. Our family verbal history recounted that Archie had been drowned at sea during WWI but this record shows that whilst true there was more to it and the full story of the sinking of the Glenart Castle by a German U boat is well documented elsewhereContributed by:
