Medal Index Card records Pte Robert Hebden as 29/618, 22nd Northumberland Fusiliers. The 22nd Battalion was one of four Tyneside Scottish battalions and the photo on the attached site (connect below) shows him wearing the glengarry and badge of this unit. It follows that he became eligible for the BWM/BVM whilst serving with this unit. His CWGC Record records him as serving in 12th (Service) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers at the time of his death on 2nd April 1917.
