Lives of the First World War

Harry was no relation but my late Grandfather for reasons unknown kept amongst his personal effects Harry's 1914 / 1915 campaign medal. From research I can only assume that were friends and when Harry lost his life on the Somme it appears he died intestate according to the Medal Index card hence perhaps my Grandfather's involvement? Because of this I strongly feel Harry should not be forgotten and have took it upon my self to find out as much as I can about his life, having spent much time trying to research him (he was born in Norwood, London) and enlisted in Tyseley Birmingham, I have now come to an impasse and can only assume his records were destroyed in the Blitz. I will not give up and hope one day to complete my research. What I have found that he was born in Norwood
