Captain H.B. Holdsworth, Durham L.I., killed in action on April 10, was the eldest son of Mr and Mrs T. E. Holdsworth, Grimethorpe. Age 25 years, he gained his commission in October, 2014, when studying for the mining B.Sc. at Armstrong College, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He was wounded in the second battle of Ypres, 1915, returned to the Front in February, 1916, and was invalided home with trench fever in July, 1916. He went out again in January last year.
