Omskirk Soliders Killed

News was officially received yesterday by Mrs. Norris, of Aughton, near Ormskirk, that her husband Corporal Harry Norris, of the 11th King's (Liverpool Regiment) had been killed in action. He was the son of Mr. T. Fitzroy Norris of Hooten-Road, Aintree. Corporal Norris was a prominent amateur footballer, having played for several Liverpool clubs, and also for Omskirk. He was twenty-eight years of age, and leaves a window and four young children. Private James Dunn, of High-street, Skelmersdale, near Ormskirk, and of the same regiment, was also killed on the same day, official intimation having reached his mother. He was twenty-two years of age, and joined the forces in November last. The Liverpool Daily Post, Tuesday 31 August 1915
