13th (Service) Battalion (K3) King’s Liverpool Regiment. (9th Infantry Brigade 3rd Division). Killed in action August 16th, 1916 during the Battle for Delville Wood. Battalions of the division were engaged in the Wood August 14th-19th, 1916. He was 23, and had been an employee in the process Engraving Department of the Western Gazette, Yeovil. Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 1D, 8B and 8c.
