Lives of the First World War

The two older boys in this photograph are John Daniel and David William - the two oldest surviving sons until the war. Both of these boys went to World War One and both were killed. John was killed in 1915 and David was killed in 1918. In Australia their mother died two months after John was killed and their father died four months before David was killed.
