The following transcription is from a Newspaper cutting that is on the Inverclyde's Great War Website - It is not dated and does not say which newspaper it comes from but is probably just after his death in July 1916. It states the following:- Geddes, Charles Falconer, Corporal, number 444, 6th (service) Battalion, The Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-Shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's) of John , Assembly Rooms, North Street, Elgin, Plasterer, by his wife, Margaret, daughter of Charles Falconer; born Bishopmill by Elgin 21 October 1891, educated at Bishopmill and East Schools, Elgin; was a Tailor; enlisted in 1909, served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders and died of wounds received in action 30 July 1916. He married at Greenock, 29 May 1916, Annie, daughter of John Montague.
