No. 241975, Private, Seaforth Highlanders ; born at Whitehouse, Aberlour, 30th November, 1882 ; joined at Elgin, 16th June, 1916 ; served in France ; killed in Battle of Arras, April 9th., 1917. Son of Alexander Fanning and Isabella Gordon or Fanning. Occupation, Distillery Worker.
