Sergeant John Worthington Farrow, 2nd City Battalion 17th Manchester's. After taking a special Law course at Manchester University, he graduated to work in the firm Richard Haworth & Co Ltd, of which his father was a director. The company was one of the contributors to the Pals' Guarantee Fund, giving £200. He died, on the 5th of May 1916, as a result of wounds received in action.
