Lives of the First World War

I have done a lot of family research, including extensive discussions with older family members who have since passed. They told me, and this is supported my census records, the Willie was born in 1899 in Burnley. His dad was Walter Spencer (who I have photos of) and his mum was Elizabeth Ann Spencer. His siblings were: Harry- B Approx 1894 Joseph B Approx 1895/6 Frederick B 1987 (My Great Grandfather) Then William (Willie was born 1899) Walter B Approx 1901 Taylor B 1903 Elsie B 1910 Ethel B 1911 In 1901 the family lived at 24 Birtwell Street, Burnley In 1911 the family lived 12 Laithe Street, Burnley Harry and Fred both also served in the war and luckily survived. He was killed on 21st March 1918 after only 18 days at the front. He has no official place, but his name is on the Pozieres in France.
