Leslie Walter Brooks, killed in action 25 September, was the youngest son of Mr and Mrs John Boultbee Brooks, of Finstall Park, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. He was born in 1892, and was educated at Uppingham, and entered Clare in 1911, and left in his second year to take up business. He was a keen sportsman. He received a commission early in September, 1914, was promoted lieutenant in April of this year, and went to France in May.
