Zeebrugge memorial plaque from the vessel "Iris"

The "Iris", a passenger ferry across the Mersey, was commandeered during the Great War. It was used as a landing craft in the raid on Zeebrugge, along with its sister ship "Daffodil". It was named "HMS Iris II" and survived the war. A memorial plaque, bearing the names of those who were on the Iris on the night of 22/23 April 1918 and who died at Zeebrugge, was mounted on the vessel. When it was scrapped, the memorial was given to the IWM, and it has in identifier of FEQ 91
