Minster-in-Thanet WW1 Roll of Honour

Minster-in-Thanet WW1 Roll of Honour

Minister was the ancient capital of Thanet. The parish church dedicated to St Mary the Virgin was the minster church of a monastic settlement founded in 670. In 1921 the population of the Civil Parish was just fewer than 3,000. The names of 36 men who died serving their country in WW1 are recorded on a Roll of Honour in the parish church.
